Like Heartache

Cresting the tidal wave of sunlight
ending in points
of color
blue and yellow
contrasting
golden filters
reflecting
yesterday's
         butterfly . .
a habit of watching
rewarded . .

cresting happiness
joy
which though
so ephemeral
as effervescent
as a bubble
a moment where wings
lift the spirit
which crumbles
so easily crushed
against the harsh
embrace of
planet
and universe
with all its glory
and beauty

red stones in the road
like drops of blood
burnished and turned
dusty
each left
like a sign
to the wanderer
the harvest is contentment
fleshy fruits
hang low
to entice
the hungry soul
like becoming
fingers
like fish in trees
like patterns against the blue
like many hued clouds
bursting with dew . ..

Like music
      in the wind . .
the birds
       on the wing
a sky so blue
a sun so warm . . .
I dream of innocence
for in the end

when all the stars
are gone:
the darkness
remains . . .

  Krzysztof Malinowski, "Catharsis"

This was just what I wanted to hear . . . Uplifting music, with a clear sound; conducive to smiles and relaxation . . wings that lift me up as I listen . . . a breath of fresh air relieving pent-up pain . . . sorrow and grief flow away into an endless streaming breeze . . . Music has a way of touching the soul's deepest feelings . .. reflecting and inspiring the mind of the heart. This album is a tale . .. a tale of darkness and pain . . . a tale of escape and desire . . . . a tale of death and re-birth . . .

The End of Summer Roses

Vampyres . . .

"Requiem" from Van Syla's album "Goodbye"
Original review by Orangeupurple for the album:

As I walk along this lifeline
I see the shadowy beginnings
and I hear the tearful goodbyes . . .
The march of time
goes slowly by
rending what we hold most dear . . .
This temporal place
these bloody shreds
We cling to in despair . . .
Dance with me my beloved
for we soon must say
goodbye
Hold my hand my love
and look into my eyes
I see myself inside of you . . .
and you within my heart
you are forever there
although,
we must be apart …

"Beginning of a Journey" by Yumi Kurosawa on Magnatune
Original and creative . .  this work is exotic with unique placement of instruments and a creative expression of peace and sublimity . .

Lost Gift . . .

Inside House of Cahors
Lost Gift

My emptiness . . .
losing my equilibrium .  . after
profound deafness became part of my life
 . . . is any good
part of me left? I lose my way these days. . .
I think that's why I keep breaking things . ..
my toes, my glass cups and this morning my favorite lamp . ..
I do things wrong, I hit things hard . . I wobble . .
the world weaves and warps around me as if
seen through heat waves and mirages . . .
I can't sense the sharp edges of things
until they strike me . . .
or the ups and the downs . . .
the ground leaps about like a herd of running horses . ..
or a ship floating helplessly
on a restless sea . . .
. . .and I long for the stillness and quiet . . .
of the deep green forest.  ..
and the eternal dark night . . .
those moments before the storm . . .
I find it hard to think . . .
it makes me wonder if there is any point
of me going on .  .  and on . . . and on . .
and no . . . I don't see any hope . .
for anything . . I'm too negative
and turned inward with pain . . .
for it all still hurts . ..  like yesterday's
memories . . and I am scarred with lost dreams
beating broken wings against the walls
of echoing canyons .. .

Schwarzweiss, "Untiteled"

So full of living
 . . dreams and melodies
. ..  there is laughter and there is sadness
 . . . and somehow too
 . . . I find the sky
. .. it tells me of forever,
 and the teardrops of angels
 . . . like sunshine and shadow,
 is sorrow and joy
 .  . eternal the passion;
essential the love
. . . peace, like feathers on the snow
. .. memory fills my vision
and takes me to my heart
 . . . Music, purely Beautiful!

Dancing in the Shadows

Finding yesterday

                      in your story

my tears

                     remind me

                       that once

I was a victim too,

                            but today

                                                   as I dance alone

where sunshine glances,

                                         I see reflected

                                                                   the shadows

of other dancers,

             their ethereal arms

hold me

                                                              against the painful storm,

and now

with my heart beating

                                 for you,

and as my soul cries

                                                     throughout the years ..

my arms are out

to shelter you

and help you find your strength

This poem is dedicated to a young woman, a teenager, who was brutally assaulted by a 47 year old criminal . . . no details here . . . they are too evil to hear let alone live through . . . my heart goes out to her.

My Love is a Mystery

Multnomah Falls, Oregon

Multnomah Falls, Oregon
sparkling is the water
shattered beneath the cliff . .
like crystal and memories
on the stream set adrift . . .
shining the wings
flying o'er all . . .
silently beating
the breezes to rise . . .
warm is the sun
on my cheeks,
a  light kiss ..  .
my love is a mystery
where life strikes a chime . . .
like the flight of the eagle . ..
and the cling of the vine . . .
no understanding . . .
no dreams .. .. visions grand . .
my love is a shadow
my love has been cast
the heart slowly broken
and slower to mend . . .
I know not the future .. .
nor remember the past . ..
yet hope is the song
to my soul closely clasped . . .

This is quite a striking album . . . beautiful, stunning music . .. peaceful and quite captivating . . . an elegance of sound and a beautifully balance album cover. This one has been around since the beginning of July and somehow I missed it . . . but here it has emerged to flow into my heart and soul and be a soothing delight . . .  Some of these songs are so tender that they are like the effervescent dew . . . delicate and ephemeral . .. tending the moment with intense peace and vision . .

A Spare Moment . . .

Sunflower and friends . . .

A bit of a sky brush
has pasted some thin
white clouds
across
the eyes of the rising sun,
as she searches the faces
of those who love her, and
a melody is performed
as wings
touch the breeze . ..
of a morning
full of tender peace
and aching with memories . . .

The man with the gentle dog
offers to cut the sunflower for me
just as my camera captures
that bright yellow face
to hold forever . ..
I was deeply moved by this stranger's
desire . . . to give me a smile . . .

. . . finding moments like these
strewn across my pathways
in an eternal heaven,
presents purpose and song,
like the meaning of stars
and the spirit of waterfalls . . .
like a gaze from the gods . . .
it covers my spirit with healing,
creating me anew . . .

and though I said "No, but thanks,"
I received the greatest treasure
a day could offer . . .
an endless space of love
in a tiny moment . . . .
where the clouds are but spare tear drops,
flung out like pearls,
to frame the beauty
of a flower
dancing eternally in the breeze . . .

A beautiful morning, and I walked part way into work . . . and decided to take pictures of the sunflowers before they faded completely away . . . I especially wanted the sunflowers growing against the back wall of the automobile repair shop . . . because I had seen them in their glory . . . but I was a little late . . . yet I saw one solitary bloom that was striking, and took its picture  . . . and the man with his dog, was cutting across the field and he offered to cut the flower for me . .. and I felt such a connection between souls . .. I explained that I loved to photograph flowers but don't care to keep the blooms themselves as I prefer they stay where they are . . . giving joy to other eyes . .

*****************************************************

I like this music . ..  it fills my day with serenity and peace .. . .it gives some bright bubbles of light which sparkle in my atmosphere and I am soothed . ..  it can play for hours without becoming old . . . and it influences my spirit to create . ..

Drop of Water

a tear falls
once to salt the cheeks
and shine, so as to send a message
to the angels
and then to drop, beneath the heart
where lying buried
waters the seed of growth
and comprehension . . .

"Drop Water" by Soriano
My review (9/24/2011):
This is beautiful . . . calming soothing . . . when you are exhausted at the end of the day . . . and you weep from the pain . . . and you must have a moment's respite . . . so you reach for. .. a drink of cool refreshing water . . . from the bottom of the well where you see the stars reflect back into your eyes. . . a ripple of light where the water moves slowly . . . as if alive . . . a deep soul, you feel that maybe the angels . . are offering you a quiet healing . . . a shelter from the burning rays . . of a violent stormy sun . . . and your first sip of that water . . . is felt in every molecule and every bone . . . and finally your heart can unclench from the stress of that terrible day . . . this music is like that . . .. that refreshing water . .. Beautiful pattering drums, piano . . like rain, falling, falling . . guitars, rippling bells, and flutes . .. so many artistic moments throughout this album I have listened for days . . but I finally put on the headphones . .. and I was stunned . . . at the delicate loveliness of this music . . . Thank you for the beautiful restful music . . .

For You . . . A Love Song . . .

Dance with me my love,
for I have the wings to lift you to the heights,
where we will nestle in the fragrant branches of the tallest tree,
and gaze into the unknown . . .
to marvel at the spider's web
glistening across the sky . . . with the strength

to hold back the rush of stars;
for their adoration of you is merely

the touch of an angel's feather . ..
whispered against
the staunch mountains . .
For you those temperamental beings
glow pink in the dawn and
blush scarlet
when the sun retreats . .
For you a thousand waters
kiss the naked outstretched arms
of golden sandy beaches . . .
For you the azure gaze of heaven's canopy
wraps a world securely beneath a tapestry of dreams . .
For you the daisy dances
and the winged things
sing . . .
For you the breath of sweet Spring breezes
kiss our cheeks and ruffle our hair
and for you, my love,
the rain must fall,
coating the tender rose
until her velvet petals must droop
and lay down at her slender feet . . .
which drink deeply of the elixir of life . . .
For you my love . . . all for you,
I give to you my wings

Come . .  let me give you my song . .
it is the sound of the ether
as it strokes the face
of the day-dreaming field mouse . .
it is the whisper of the dew sliding
down the stalk of purple grass . . .
It is the distant sound of laughter,
a sparkle captured in your eye . .
it is the passion of the rainbow;
a momentary figment of a vision,
a dream that stretches across the heart
of the storm . . .

and the sound of the beating drums
echoing from within your bones . ..
the rushing of your blood coursing
within your flesh .. .

the humming of your breath . . .
sings to me of the warmth and being
of you . . .

it is your gift to me . . .

(perhaps not yet finished . ..  this song continues)

"Musica In Ospedale - Suite 5" by Musica in Ospedale

Review from 10/16/2011:

I wish I had the scientific terms or musical knowledge to describe this flute and the butterfly like energy that emanates from my earphones as I listen to the first two tracks . . ifs full of light and joy . . . a skipping dance with the piano sparkling and shining . . . or maybe I need mystical terms to be able to describe what this music does to my heart . .. how it lightens the burdens I feel . . . that choking stress I I live with . . . its gone as I listen to this beautiful music . .. The third track was a mellow tango . . . bird like with sweet flute voices . . . It was driven by the beat . . . and the backdrop was a starry night and a dance floor . . . beautiful . . . "Sandro Sacco Flute Night" made me think of an Asian Flamenco . .. a little exotic flute whispers and whistles . . . fluttering, enticing and exciting . . . dancing with the guitar . . . And "Sandro Sacco dalla Carmen Entr'acte" was simply so beautiful . . so gorgeous that it filled my heart with uplifting bubbles . . . as if I were in love with the flute and piano . . . playing that gorgeous music . . . I found so much pleasure in this album of flute, piano and guitar . . . that it will be listened to again, by me, and again I will adore this tender, emotional, beautiful music . . . music that gives me joy.

My Words

                                              I offered you my words
                              as a gift . . . .
                                        something that
scratched up from inside my dark soul. . .
                                                   I offered you my gift
                           freely
                                      yet binding you
                  in ways unseen
                                   and ways you
                                              will never know
for now as you
                read these words
                        your heart
                                     beats in me
                             and your blood is
                         flowing
               through my veins. . .
                        though your song whispers
                                    away through trails of winds
                     and lightning
. . .. a brief flash
                filters through
your grief  . . what have you lost
. . . you have gained . . .
                      like a reprieve
                                  or a debt . . .
                           your flesh melts
                                         beneath the teeth
                                                               I call my words
                                  and though you run
               you fall . . .
                         the fear beneath
                                                 the streets
                                                             of your desire
                            tosses you aside
                                                 like a limp rag . . . yet
                                                           you have gained more
                    than all the treasures
ever . . .

***************************************************
This music has star shine . . . dreamily beautiful
and full of peaceful joy  . . .
I am lifted up . . . with the wings of fulfillment
as all is complete in this cosmos . .
I loved the pulsing bells in "Pulsars" . .
unique and creative . ..  something that quivers
through you, as you listen, and you feel part of
the wholeness of eternal space . . . as if you
could open your heart and let it all in . .

I've been enjoying this musician and his
extraordinary music . .

Today I Listen . . .

One Year Ago

What we have to offer is so transient
in the space of our time .  .  .
Like a flower,
bloom and then droop . . .
and yet with all the glory and moments . . .
we can dream of something greater . ..
somewhere beyond this sun
some existence beyond this dimension . .
we gaze at our star shapes . .  dancing in the ebony sky
and reaching up, higher and higher to join them . .
we find ourselves flying . . .
with the angels . .

*******************************
I listen to the music . . . and it speaks to me through a language I understand . . . a language of the heart for I hear it beating there . . .

Today and again listening to Jamendo (which is improving before my eyes - sometimes creating minor and temporary glitches ):

"Time for a Change" by Jorisima:
with my old review:

Wow .. . . and WOW You had me poppin' all over the place . . . you know how to energize with sweet sounds . . that fly That take me up by the wings . . and let me soar . . higher and higher . . . and drive me with killer beats . . . "Entre Lobos y Ovejas" was so exciting . . my heart was pounding along with the beat . . . But I think that "OchenteandO" was my favorite because it made me so happy inside . . . one of those teary eyed happy feelings . . . . it was like angels singing in the background . . . and stars flinging about .. . . driving the mood of this lovely piece . . . What an opener . . .

Still feel that same magic . . .

Video by xxxXxRUNExXxxx - http://www.youtube.com/user/xxxXxRUNExXxxx/videos

With lovely black and white pictures, evoking thoughts and emotions regarding wolves . . . Rune put together a gorgeous video showcase for Evgeny Emelyanov's composition,  "Father and Daughter (feat. Viktor Vorokhov)" . . . a dramatic piece, from the album reviewed below, it is studded with strings and a tender piano . . . Romantic and thoughtful, the entire ensemble is emotional and delightful . . .

"This is quite an eclectic little album . .. interesting music from beginning to end . . . Most are definitely suited to soundtrack requirements . . . music to set a mood or mental image . . . dramatic or refined . . . relaxing or enlightening . . . and all very good . . . as just a listen on a rainy afternoon . .. before the sun descends . . . yet the heart needs room to breath . . . and the music sets the stage . . . Life in Surround Sound Color

I have forgotten how much I loved this album . . . so fresh and clean . .
with so many upbeat nuances . . . and driven emotions . . . beautiful to say the least . .

I have borrowed my old review from Jamendo: http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a103224/life-painted-melody-vinyl-edition

A life story paints a melody
the music
sings to us of our beginnings,
our living, our hopes,
and our end . .
Listen to this electronic music
from beginning to end
as if it were a poem . . .
a history of the sorrows, loves and joys of existence
and find yourself reflected
as if from a mirror
or listen to the beautiful music
and hear
the melody
of your soul
dancing in your heart. . . .

To Become the Sun

Here it is:

To become the sun,
                               first become the rain
and lay yourself in the
                                 puddles and the lakes . . .
Then
become the sun
                               to dance and twinkle
on the layers of waters
till they,
rising,
                    meet the atmosphere
as the dew
                                         that disappears into the heat
and flies into the heart
of the cloud
                         converging on the edge
of the universe . ..
where suns . . .give birth . .
and somehow
though we are lost
                                     we find hope . . .
and a hundred thousand ways
                                                    that lead back home . . .

********************************************************
Creix . . . as always, one of my favorites, was one of my first friends on Jamendo . . . his music has a way of touching me . . . in ways that no other music can do . . .

He has a style uniquely his own, electronic, expressive, and quite creative.  I think he has a dream, and a heart that stretches to the stars and back . . . where he shares some of his fantastic soul, through his compositions . . .

Mila Dream "I Will Be Music"

Showcasing an upbeat, lovable voice, with just a wisp of a Russian accent, the music of Mila Dream carries the listener to the stars and beyond . . . She's a dreamer and carries her visions into the realm of human need and beauty . ..  where ever we may find it . .  where the butterfly catches the warm breezes of Summer's end and flies to the stars to find it's nectar . . . and where the spirit of the listener can be lifted by an invisible thread to these high places . . .

My favorite was a piano piece called, "Wind of Your Heart" which lifted my soul as her inner beauty touched an empty place withing my being and I flew in the light and grace of the music.

There is a lot of love and openness in this music and is the expression of a light and lovely personality . .

Hello My Sunny Girl

Hello my Sunny Girl . . .
my tasty sweet and wild girl. . .
you create the music
that makes my world
whirl like a top
and a dream . . .
there is a roaring
in the atmosphere . . .
somebody's moon is melting the slow ice . ..
and cold crisp water runs down
the walls of my blue prison . .
I remember the song you sang
on the day I first heard you . . .
but now my feet are cold
as winter grips them
in chains woven of tears . . .
and the black skies lower their bellies
to smother me . . .

my design is a tree
that grows me to you
my sunny girl . . .
waiting to be held
in strong branches . . .

##############

               This Beautiful Music:

                       Peaceful and quiet,
         floating in a still sky . . .
                           weighted like a feather . . .
             drifting
                          silently by . . .
                                  Moved by the winds
             that blow o'er the night,
                          dreaming in the meadow
         beneath the starlit sky
The snow falls down around me,
                        a blanket smooth and bright
              the music fills the atmosphere
          with melodies like bells . . .
                                teardrops slowly falling
                 crystal daggers
in my blurring eyes . .

18th Century Chinese Vase

You were my universe . . . turmoil seethed in me
like star fires and billowing clouds of darkness,
bright with light reflected
from the unknown gods . . .
a small bubble of blue; a magnet
for lost souls and questing angels . .
do you know what I feared more than
anything else? Not being loved . .
and yet I managed to survive for a time . .
without another soul to comfort me . . .
Alone, I was, on the green meadow . .
still trying to cross the river that seems
to be but a trickle . . a mere wisp
dangled like a carrot before me . . teasing
with offerings of bones full of helium  . . .
and gifts of grace to float away . . .
sailing up a sunbeam . . . I always felt they were ladders for souls . . .
for angels .  . . and I would gaze at them until
the spots before my eyes transformed
into winged creatures coming and going . ..
gold dripping off the tips like honey from a spoon
held over a warm cup of tea . ..
my hands warming in the steam . . . I would take a deep breath
and make a wish as if I were looking over the genie's brightless lamp . .
and I in a soot darkened cavern . . . lost for all eternity,
could dream with eyes wide open
while listening to the song of water
crashing against crystal walls . ..
the hollow caves of me .  ..  dark and empty
the things that rattle around there,
a wayward mouse . .  dusty and gray,
a frayed ribbon, green and blue,
a crust of toast, stale and moldy,
and a few odd bones, discarded long ago . ..
with the stench of rancid grease clinging to the breaks.
I know the heartache of loneliness,
it comes with a terror
and a deep knowledge . . . that I am unworthy
of being loved . ..
that no one will ever be there to hold out a hand . .
to help me over the river,
and through the misty valley . . .

and a Chinese vase, deserted on someone's driveway,
holds the ashes I left behind . .

***********************************************

I have to agree that album cover pops right out at you, it stands out amongst the crowd .. .. and does justice to the music . . . 'tis a beautiful choice . . .

. . . and the music . . . how gorgeous . . . a little different from Van Syla's usual beautiful musical excursions . . . this one (even more gorgeous) takes us to medieval times . . . and so romantic . . . a Shakespearian choice for sure . . .

Delicate and tender . .
like old lace and lavender . .
a romance choses to bloom
against a robin's eggshell blue sky . . .
'Twas Spring dancing in the meadow. . .
her hair flying in the breezes
and dreams of love's gentle song . .
where only sunshine could exist
and nothing could go wrong . . .

or could it . . . . .

"For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo." - W.S.

but in the end the story gives us
exceptionally beautiful music . .
so we forgive the tears. . . .
and listen to the tale told twice
and then -
again and again . . .

And such a wonderful Jamendoan reviewer as our Carybe, who exists in our lovely Jamando kingdom, is one to deserve a gracious dedication . . through such a romantic and well made music . . . the sound so perfect and the love so deep . . .

Thank you, Van Syla, for sharing . . .
