Restful

Review, thoughts and poetry about: "Eternity v.2" by Depneim
down-tempo, ambient . . . .lovely . . .

I adore the gorgeous album cover . . . mesmerized by those stairs to the moon . . . I might have dreamed of those stairs once before . . . long long ago . . .

My legs so heavy and weary
trudging up those stairs to the moon
taking respite half-way up there
I find my strength to fly . . .

I lift myself with my wings,
luminous from the light of that pearl
like a ghostly blossom is Luna
rolling lazily in my sky

and I realize as the moon fills my gaze
that I could go much further than there

. . . on and on forever
why stop at just one rock. . .
but further into the heavens,
I fly  . . . . a melody lifting me higher

The peace of the music is the interlude,
the melody is my wings,
the touch of the song is my moon glow
glancing on shoulders and face. . .

a piano fills my heart strings
with drops of scented dew,
the tempo is my jet stream
guiding me through this dream. . .

and I fly onward to the stars . . .

flung far into that great night,
spellbound I wander
on the pathway of the song

Reviews and Thoughts for "Dream Catcher" by Ben Wunder
Quiet, a minimal parade of instruments drifting in and out, pounding
or cloudy and wispy . . . some whisper
some shout. . .
dreams . . . . .
the music is ethereal . . . surreal in aspects,
filling the atmosphere with bumps and groans. . .
the thing under the bed
a fantasy of flying
a thing, ephemeral, disappearing
into the shadows . . .
and indescribable
impossible to witness, catch . . .
falling falling into that land of sleep
and dreams . . .

The music, the instruments, the concept . . . very good . . . but the rare vocal . . . needs training! Its just a little off tune . . . and does not always resonate well with the instruments. The quiet guitar is extremely beautiful and the percussive sounds are very well placed . . .

and the whole effect of the album is to mesmerize the listener . . . lovely
